Club Secretary
Responsible to the Management Committee (Elected Position)
SKILLS REQUIRED:
MAIN DUTIES
1) Call committee meetings on an agreed date.
2) Arrange a suitable venue. Inform committee members of agenda and arrangements at least a week in advance.
3) Present the minutes to the appropriate committee.
4) Inform committee members of period postal information and external contact details.
5) Take accurate minutes of the meetings. Duplicate and distribute the minutes promptly (usually by email)
6) Contacting the committee in the event of urgent requirements from postal information.
7) To be the first point of contact for all membership enquires (usually by email, some paper applications received)
8) Control membership applications with special attention to medical conditions and Emergency contact details
9) Have a clear admission policy with open access to waiting list (published on the website by another volunteer)
10) To follow and promote the ASA Child Protection policy
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week, on aggregate, plus meetings, collating minutes, copying, etc
Treasurer
Responsible to the Management Committee (Elected Position)
SKILLS REQUIRED:
MAIN DUTIES
1) To develop a pricing strategy to ensure the club can meet its cost base requirements.
2) To develop: A welfare policy in conjunction with the Child Protection and Welfare officer to support members through hard times.
3) To control: The clubs finances and deliver accurate accounts to the committee, the membership and the External auditor.
4) To control the membership subscriptions and offer reminders for late payment or investigate hardship problems.
5) To ensure that Club has a controlled system for purchasing equipment and training.
6) To liase with the committee and funding agencies and actively seek additional funding to support the club.
7) To follow and promote the ASA Child Protection policy
Time Commitment: Approx 2-4hrs per week including Banking of club funds.
Committee member
Responsible to the Management Committee (Elected Position)

MAIN DUTIES
1) To assist in: identifying the aims and requirements of the club.
2) To develop, along with the committee, the clubs Action Plan.
3) To implement current action plan.
4) Monitoring progress.
5) To seek out and identify, appropriate opportunities for the club.
6) To liase with the Volunteer Co-ordinator to seek and identify appropriate volunteers and new recruits.
7) To deputise for the club as required at meetings and organised functions.
8) To follow and promote the ASA Child Protection policy, Equity Policy and Sport for All.
9) Willing to complete CRB Check.
Time commitment: Committee meeting of 90 mins every 8 weeks or so, occasional other time such as AGM or sub Committee roles as required
